5 Minute Madressa for the 1st of Jamaadul Ula

(1) Islaamic History The blessed house where Rasulullaah (SAW) stayed
The Sahabah (RA) received Rasulullaah (SAW) with great jubilation when he arrived in Madinah from Quba and they lined both sides of the road as he entered. Every household in Madinah hoped that Rasulullaah (SAW) would be their guest. They held the camel upon which Rasulullaah (SAW) was riding and pledged everything they had for him. Rasulullaah (SAW) prayed for all of them, but bade them to allow the camel to walk by herself. He informed them that he would stay wherever Allaah made the camel stop. The camel eventually stopped by the house of Hadhrat Abu Ayyoob Ansaari (RA), who was exuberant at the privilege. He immediately removed the saddle and baggage and carried it into the house. Rasulullaah (SAW) then stayed with him for seven months.
(2) Allaah’s Power He creation of man in complete darkness
The factory within which Allaah has created the best of His creation is one that is tiny and where there is absolutely no light and no labourers. In fact, the human is created in this tiny womb, engulfed in three layers of darkness. On the other hand, factories of this world span several acres, need the brightest of lights and employ many labourers to get their product manufactured. With His tremendous might and power, Allaah needs none of this to manufacture a product far superior to anything that man can even think of making.
(3) A Fardh Believing that Allaah will resurrect everyone
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “It is Allaah Who has created you, then sustains you, will then give you death, and again give you life (on the Day of Qiyaamah). Are there any of your partners (gods) who can do any of this? Allaah is Pure and Exalted above the partners they (the Mushrikeen) ascribe to Him (because none can do what He can do)”.
[Surah Room, verse 40]
(4) A Sunnah Gargling thrice in Wudhu
When explaining the method of performing Wudhu, Hadhrat Ali (RA) stated that Rasulullaah (SAW) gargled thrice.
[Ahmad 874]
(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Clothing a Muslim
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that when a person gives clothing to another Muslim, he (the giver) will remain in Allaah’s protection for as long as the clothing remains on the (recipient’s) body.
[Mustadrak 7422, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA)]
(6) A Sin Disobeying parents and oppression
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Beware of oppression because the punishment for oppression is meted out quicker than that of any other sin. Beware also of disobeying your parents because I swear by Allaah that the one who disobeys his parents will not even smell the fragrance of Jannah even though its fragrance can be smelt from a distance of a thousand years.”
[Tabraani 5825, from Hadhrat Jaabir (RA)]
(7) This World Two habits
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that when a person looks up towards someone who is superior to him in the matters of Deen and follows him and also looks at a person who is inferior to him in matters of this world and then thanks Allaah for His bounties, Allaah will record this person from amongst the patient and the thankful ones (on account of these two habits). As for the person who looks towards someone who is inferior to him in the matters of Deen and also looks at a person who is superior to him in matters of this world and then laments over his lot, Allaah will not record this person from amongst the patient and the thankful ones.
[Tirmidhi 2512, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Amr (RA)]
(8) The Aakhirah The hearts of the people of Jannah will be pure
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “We shall remove ill feelings (towards each other) from their chests (hearts). With rivers flowing beneath them (in Jannah), they will say, ‘All praise is for Allaah, Who has guided us to this (guided us to adopt the beliefs and acts that earned us this reward). We would never have been rightly guided had Allaah not guided us. Most certainly, the Rusul of our Rabb came with the truth (which we can clearly witness now).’”.
[Surah A’raaf, verse 43]
(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) Medical science
Rasulullaah (SAW) stated that a person will be held responsible on the Day of Qiyaamah if he treated anyone without the relevant knowledge.
[Abu Dawood 4586, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Amr (RA)]
This Hadith makes it evident that an experienced doctor or Hakeem should be consulted when ill.
(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “O you who have Imaan! When death draws near to any of you at the time of making a bequest (a will), there should be two just persons (present as witnesses to the will) from you (Muslims) or from another nation (non-Muslims) if you are on journey when the affliction of death befalls you”.
[Surah Maa’idah, verse 106]
