(1) Islaamic History Haaroot and Maaroot
Black magic was very widely practised in the city of Babylon amongst the Jews and they could achieve such feats through this that some people actually claimed to be prophets performing miracles. Allaah then sent two angels by the names of Haaroot and Maaroot, who taught people how to recognise black magic. However, the people started to learn from them in order to practise the trade even though the angels informed them that this would be a trial for them. The people, however, refused to accept the warning and continued to dabble in this evil practise to achieve their own motives.
(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle Trees and mountains greet Rasulullaah (SAW)
Hadhrat Ali (RA) reports that he once accompanied Rasulullaah (SAW) to an area of Makkah when they were still living there and noticed that every tree and mountain that Rasulullaah (SAW) passed greeted him with the words, “As Salaamu Alaykum Yaa Rasulallaah (SAW)”.

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Proceeding to the Masjid for Salaah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that when a person proceeds to the Masjid morning and evening for Salaah, Allaah prepares a welcome for him each time.

(4) A Sunnah The Du’aa for Sajdah Tilaawah
When coming across a verse of the Qur’aan requiring that a Sajdah be performed, Rasulullaah (SAW) recited the following Du’aa in the Sajdah:

سَجَدَ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِيْ خَلَقَهٗ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهٗ وَبَصَرَهٗ بِحَوْلِهٖ وَقُوَّتِهٖ

TRANSLATION: My face prostrated before the One Who has created it and has crafted its ears and eyes through His immense power and strength.

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Performing Sajdah in abundance
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Perform Sajdah in abundance because when a person performs Sajdah solely for the pleasure of Allaah, then Allaah will elevate his position in Jannah and forgive a sin.”

(6) A Sin Some Haraam foods
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Forbidden for you (to eat) is Mayta, blood (that flows from an animal’s body), the meat of pigs, (the meat of) those animals that were sacrificed with (the slaughterer taking) the name of another besides Allaah”.

(7) This World The reality of the things of this world
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Know that the life of this world is merely play (sport), futility, decoration (superficial), boasting among each other, and rivalry (competition) in wealth and children”.
[Surah Hadeed, verse 20]
(8) The Aakhirah Five questions on the Day of Qiyaamah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that no person will be able to take a step on the Day of Qiyaamah without answering five questions; (1) about his life and how he spent it, (2) about his youth and how he spent it, (3) about how he earned his wealth, (4) about how he spent it and (5) how he utilised the knowledge he possessed.

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) The benefits of pears
Hadhrat Talha (RA) reports that he once met Rasulullaah (SAW) as Rasulullaah (SAW) held a pear in his hand. “Take this, O Talha,” Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Because it gives peace of heart.”

(10) Advice from Rasulullaah (SAW)
Rasulullaah said, “Abstain from oppression because it will be a source of a multitude of darkness on the Day of Qiyaamah. Abstain also from miserliness because this had destroyed the people before you when it led them to spill the blood of each other and regard what is Haraam and Halaal.”
