5 Minute Madressa for the 7th of Rabi Ul Awwal

(1) Islaamic History The miracles and specialities of Hadhrat Isa (AS)
When the Bani Israa’eel started to reject the Nabuwwaat (Prophethood) of Hadhrat Isa u, Allaah gave him the power to display certain miracles to convince them. These miracles have been mentioned in the Qur’aan. The first was his miraculous birth, followed by the way in which he spoke to the people as a baby to clear his mother’s name. In addition to this, he was able to bring the dead back to life, cure the blind and lepers, tell the people what food they were storing in their homes and, because his helpers requested, he had a table laden with food sent from Jannah. When his enemies plotted to assassinate him, Allaah rescued him by raising him up to the heavens, where he is presently residing before his return to earth before Qiyaamah.
(2) Allaah’s Power The Parrot
Amongst the many fascinating birds that Allaah has created, the parrot is one of the most unique. They come in various bright colours and have a wonderful voice that they use to imitate the speech of people. People train them by placing mirrors before them and it is after a short while that they are able to speak as taught. It is only Allaah Who has granted this bird this amazing ability.
(3) A Fardh Salaah of an ill person
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Perform Salaah while standing up. If you do not have the ability to do this, then perform Salaah while sitting. If you are unable to do even this, then do so while lying on your side.” [Bukhaari 1117, from Hadhrat Imraan bin Husayn (RA)]
(4) A Sunnah The Sunnah method of returning from a journey
Whenever Rasulullaah (SAW) returned from a journey, he would first go to the Masjid and perform two Rakaahs Salaah and meet the people there (thereafter he would proceed home).
[Abu Dawood 2773, from Hadhrat Ka’b bin Maalik (RA)]

Rasulullaah (SAW) said that Allaah says, “I shall forgive the person who is convinced that I have the power to forgive him as long as he does not ascribe partners to Me.”
[Mustadrak of Haakim 7676, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA)]
(6) A Sin Interest
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that intentionally consuming even a single Dirham of interest is worse than committing adultery 36 times.
[Ahmad 21450, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Handhala (RA)]
(7) This World The value of this world in the sight of Allaah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “If the world had the value of even a mosquito’s wing in the sight of Allaah, He would not have given the Kuffaar even a drop of water to drink.”
[Tirmidhi 2320, from Hadhrat Sahl bin Sa’d (RA)]
(8) The Aakhirah The friends if the people of Jannah
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “(The angels will address the people destined for Jannah saying,) We are your friends in the life of this world (always guiding you to do good), as well as in the Aakhirah (where we shall welcome you and see to your needs). There (in Jannah) you shall have whatever your heart desires, and you shall have whatever you ask for. This is the hospitality from the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”
[Surah HaaMeem Sajdah verses 31-32]
