(1) Islaamic History Hadhrat Yunus (AS) in the belly of the fish
After Hadhrat Yunus (AS) had cursed his people and left the town, he reached the shores of the Euphrates River, where he boarded a ship. The ship was later caught in stormy waters and in danger of sinking. According to their custom, the people decided to throw someone overboard to save themselves from sinking. They therefore drew lots to determine who the person would be. When the name of Hadhrat Yunus (AS) was drawn three times, he was cast overboard and immediately swallowed by a gigantic fish. Trapped inside the belly of the fish, Hadhrat Yunus (AS) realised that he had been wrong to leave the people before the command came from Allaah. He therefore repented to Allaah with the words, “O Allaah! There is none worthy of worship but You. You are Pure. I have certainly been amongst the wrongdoers.” Allaah accepted his repentance and commanded the fish to spit him out on the shore. When he had recovered from his ordeal, Hadhrat Yunus (AS) returned to his people by Allaah’s command. The people were overjoyed to receive him and accepted Islaam at his hand.
(2) Allaah’s Power The eyes
The eyes are a great bounty from Allaah that allow us to see. However, our eyes can see only in the light and are unable to see anything in the darkness. Allaah has created the eyes of the owl with the ability to see as well at night as we see during daylight. However, the owl is unable to see during the day. Such is the power of Allaah that He can create within us the ability to see in light and not in darkness, whereas a creature like the owl can see in darkness and not in light.
(3) A Fardh Protection for the person who performs the Fajr Salaah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The person who performs his Fajr Salaah will be in the protection of Allaah.”

(4) A Sunnah Showing love to children
The children of the Sahabah (RA) used to run to Rasulullaah (SAW) and jump upon his back and his chest as he hugged them and kissed them.

(5) A Nafl Acquiring knowledge
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Allaah will make the road to Jannah easy for the person who treads the path towards acquiring knowledge.”

(6) A Sin Consuming Haraam
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The body nourished on Haraam will never enter Jannah.”
[Tirmidhi]
(7) This World Not making this world an objective of life
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that when a person makes this world the objective of his life and only travels and thinks about it all the time, Allaah will place poverty and hunger before his eyes (he will fear it all the time and worry about what will happen to him). He will thus spend all his time in this worry even though he will receive only that much of this world as is decreed for him.

(8) The Aakhirah Their limbs will testify against people on the Day of Qiyaamah
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “On this day We shall seal their mouths. Their hands will speak to Us and their legs will testify to what they earned (to the sins they carried out). (In this manner, they will be unable to lie.) ”.
[Surah Yaaseen, verse 65]
(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) Treating the gums with honey
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Treat yourselves with honey in which there is cure and with the Qur’aan.”

Allaama Ibn Qayyim F writes that honey is food when required; it is medicine when required; and a drink when required. It strengthens the gums and makes the teeth shiny and white if rubbed on them.

(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “O you who have Imaan, do not unjustly consume the wealth of each other (by stealing or by other unacceptable means), but (you may exchange wealth with each other) by way of trade (conducted) with your mutual consent”.
[Surah Nisaa, verse 29]
