(1) Islaamic History Allaah causes the birth of the miraculous camel
Although Hadhrat Saalih (AS) called the people tirelessly towards Allaah’s Deen, but they refused to accept. They then told him that to prove he really was Allaah’s Nabi, he should cause a camel to emerge from the mountain, which will then give birth. They thought that this would embarrass Hadhrat Saalih (AS) because such a feat was impossible. However, when Hadhrat Saalih (AS) made Du’aa to Allaah, the people were shocked to see in front of their very eyes that the mountain split open and there emerged from it a pregnant camel that gave birth right there. Despite witnessing this, the people still refused to believe this camel was a sign from Allaah, which the Qur’aan refers to as “Naqatullaah” (Allaah’s camel).
(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle Blessings in butter
It was the habit of Hadhrat Umm Maalik (RA) to always send a container of butter as a gift to Rasulullaah (SAW). Whenever her children wanted some gravy and she did not have any to give them, she would always find butter in the container that she used to give to Rasulullaah (SAW) and then take out as much as she needed. However, she once emptied all the contents of the container, after which she did not have butter from the container any more. When she reported this to Rasulullaah (SAW), he remarked, “Had you not emptied it completely, you would have been able to get butter from it forever.”
[Muslim 6084]
(3) A Fardh Weighing and measuring justly
It is Fardh (obligatory) when trading that a person weighs and measures goods fairly. One must never give the customer less weight or measure because severe warnings have been sounded in this regard. Allaah says, “Destruction be to the cheaters who, when they take measure from mankind (when they are buying from others), demand (that their purchase be given to them) in full. (However,) If they measure or weigh for people (when they are the sellers), they reduce (the weight or measurement of the commodity so that the buyer gets less than he pays for)”.
[Surah Mutaffifeen, verses 1-3]
(4) A Sunnah Greeting with Salaam before requesting permission to enter
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Do not permit a person to enter if he does not greet with Salaam before seeking permission to enter.”
[Shu’abul Imaan 8546, from Hadhrat Jaabir (RA)]
It is therefore necessary to greet with Salaam and to then ask permission to enter.
(5) A Nafl Setting aright mutual relations
Rasulullaah (SAW) once asked the Sahabah (RA), “Should I not tell you of something that it better than Salaah, fasting and Sadaqah?” “Certainly, O Rasulullaah (SAW),” the Sahabah (RA) responded. Rasulullaah (SAW) replied, “That you set right your mutual relations”.
[Abu Dawood]
(6) A Sin Salaah without Wudhu and Sadaqah with Haraam wealth
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Salaah without Wudhu is not accepted and Sadaqah from Haraam earnings is also not accepted.”
[Tirmidhi, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar (RA)]
(7) This World The evil consequences of being boastful
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The person who dresses to impress people in this world will be given clothing of disgrace on the Day of Qiyaamah and fed to the fire of Jahannam.”
[Ibn Maajah 3607, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar (RA)]
(8) The Aakhirah The people of Jannah will see Allaah
Looking at the 14th full moon, Rasulullaah (SAW) once commented, “You will be able to see your Rabb (in Jannah) just as you are looking at this moon.”
[Bukhaari 554, from Hadhrat Jareer (RA)]
(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) Treating sores and pimples with vinegar
Hadhrat Ummu Haani (RA) reports that Rasulullaah (SAW) once came to their house and asked, “Do you have any gravy?” “No,” she replied, “We have only dry bread and some vinegar.” “Then bring it,” Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “The house that has vinegar is never without gravy.”
[Tirmidhi 1841]
Allaama Ibn Qayyim F writes that vinegar is effective in treating sores and pimples and also cleans wounds.
(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Those who spend in the path (obedience) of Allaah and then do not follow it up with reminders of their generosity (to make the recipient feel indebted to them) nor with (causing) hurt (to the recipient, such as making others know about it, taunting him or by taking work from him), their reward is (guaranteed and waiting for them) with their Rabb. No fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve (in the Aakhirah)”.
[Surah Baqarah, verse 262]
