The Arabs did not like the idea and one of them went as far as using the church as a toilet. This enraged Abraha so much that he prepared an army of elephants to destroy the Kabah. However, as he approached Makkah, a strong breeze blew and little birds appeared from the coast carrying pebbles in their beaks and in each claw. They then dropped these pebbles on the army, which penetrated right through the bodies of their targets like speeding bullets. Amongst the victims was Abraha himself, whose perforated body soon started to decay even as he tried to flee in vain. Using such feeble and tiny creatures, Allaah destroyed a proud and powerful army.
